Damn I love Perl - 3 lines of code = automatic...
I was looking for a way to have Perl automatically tweet stuff out for me (ie, when the VocabBomb word of the day changes or to say who the winner of the day is).
I didn’t have to look very far. Just register an app with Twitter and get the keys and tokens, and then plug and play:

I’m working on releasing a VocabSushi iPhone app that will let you learn vocab through classic books (Jane Austen, Joseph Conrad, etc). It’s going to be free, come with 2 “books” (actually just the vocab and the sentences that use the vocab, it’s not an e-reader), and launch with 200 titles that users can buy in-app.

My PHP setup for efficient coding

This took me some tinkering to find the easiest/best/free apps to do this. If you find something better, let me know.
Use firefox. Get the add-on called Download Youtube Videos (nicely named). I have tried a few others, namely the one called “Youtube to MP3” and they all suck or don’t work. This gives you 1 click downloading of any youtube video...

Smelly
Lately I’ve had the misfortune of being followed by “that smell”. It’s the homeless person smell (not me) and it has wafted over me twice today on buses and once last week at grand central - with no obviously smelly people in sight.
Clearly the “smellies” came and went but left some stench for everyone to enjoy for hours. God I hate that foul smell.
