Another great post by Charlie Komanoff about congestion pricing. He is the expert on this stuff and knows better than anyone how badly NYC needs to charge more for the right to drive freely on our clogged streets. Congestion pricing - like a $10 toll on all bridges and tunnels - is a no-brainer. And as a car-owner myself I think it’s absurd that we can own and operate a car for virtually nil in the city. That’s not an equitable use of land space nor is it efficient for anyone who actually wants to get somewhere in a reasonable amount of time.
